New to the household is a pair of 3-toed boxies - male and female - and that been together for 2 years. So far, so good, I think.

Link, the female, is a voracious eater, and very outgoing. She actually seems to be a little bit dominant, too!

Cuff, the male, only displays dominance when food is around, and sometimes will go after Links, even when he has his own! ? He's also not as active as he was at first. I've had them barely a week now, and their viv. is set up much better now - with about 4 inches of soil, which he burrowed into the moment he got set down in it! He also doesn't seem to eat quite as much, though after a week, we're still working out the kinks of diet and whatnot.

The person I got them from had been keeping them on bark, solely, but my endevors lead to be find that several inches of soil and some bark is a much better way. I haven't been able to find plants for the viv yet (it's December in Michigan - what plants?) but hopefully I'll find some ivy or fig at some bigger stores this weekend. I think that will help keep their humidity up (around 65-70 usually), and provide some more natural shade and lighting. Temp is around 75-80, and I'm working on a better set up so that their lights are more direct and can get up to 80-85 during day hours.

So far, my research led me to this diet:

Feed 3x week: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
Provide a mix of worms, crickets, fruit, vege, and some leafy greens.

The part I'm still not finding is the AMOUNT that they should be eating. 1-2 worms each? how much fruit?

I'll also be picking up some cod liver oil and cuttle bone.

Any suggestions, I'd be happy for them!

Thanks!
Anna

BTW - my gecko, Lefty loves them! He watches them from across the room as soon as it becomes "night" in his tank. He's been sitting on top of his tower watching Link, who watches right back! Pictures soon!
