| This is what our member has to say: I found these 2 little babies about 60 feet from my house. They were heading toward the river. Took a couple pics and sent them ... |

Found these 2
I found these 2 little babies about 60 feet from my house. They were heading toward the river. Took a couple pics and sent them back on their way.

Nice finds! Snappers are some of the cutest when they're babies.

They are some of the cutest when they get massive too! I bet if you try to back track from where those little guys were found, you should find a nest and possibly more!
The last nest I was drawn to in my area had a ton of eggs.

I was thinking the same thing, at the beginning of the stream is a pond. Its on private land though hopefully I can get permission to go on the land.

Cute little babies! Seeing your photos reminds me that I saw (through binoculars) two HUGE snappers fighting in the water last week. At least I think that's what they were. I saw all this splashing in the reservoir behind my in-laws' house, and I was worried something was drowning. When I looked through binoculars and their spotting scope, it was clear that it was two enormous turtles, apparently fighting. (or mating??) They went at it for quite a long time, splashing, rolling, then resting, then starting all over again.
Anyway, love the photos of the tiny babies!
