Tree frogs

I was going to get a marbled gecko, garter snake, and tree frogs but I am sticking with the tree frogs and garter snake. No gecko. Easy come easy go.

thats a good way to start. Get easy to care for herps at first and you cant go wrong. The first reptile you get will usually teach you the most out of all of the others you will ever keep throughout your lifetime.

good luck with your garter and frog. What species of tree frog are you going to get?

Have you ever owned reptiles before? If not, it's best to just start with one species - to try and take on three different animals, or even two, is a massive thing to do, you need to be able to spend time learning about each individual species.

My second question is, what type of tree frog are you thinking about getting? Some are again easier to start with than others. The whites tree frog is an excellent beginner amphibian, there's a good care sheet in our care sheet forum.

I agree with Rachel here. One reptile at a time if you are just starting out. And I dont think a garter snake is an easy snake to begin with. They have specific food requirements...why not a corn snake if you are choosing a snake...they are very easy to start off with....good luck in your decision...Lyn

The problem is only mom knows for sure what he is getting.... Isn't Christmas great! What ever he ends up with will be will researched on my part, I may be asking more question... I have some ideas but may stick with what I had with my first son, as we were quite successful with those. But I'm always up for a challenge.

I'm going looking the next few weekends. Then I'll have more specific questions that I'll PM. I want to have everything ready for when the present(s) come home.
