Hey Matt, I think it's time to make an appointment to get your hearing checked

Lol, j/k... but from my own experience with 2 male White's I had that were less than a year old when they started croaking, they are some noisy little buggers. Mine mostly croaked at night, or directly after a good tank misting, and they were quite loud. I swear each tried to out-croak the other, because they would go back and forth for a good 20 seconds at a time. I could hear them in the front of my house (through walls and closed doors) when I kept them in my room, which was towards the back of the house. If you get females though, you won't have this problem. They are cute little things, and I'm not trying to say don't get them, but if the noise would be a problem for you, make sure you get them old enough to sex them.
