Saved A Tree Frog Today
We were at the top of a parking garage when I saw something hop under a car and of cousre I had to go see it. it was trying to squish its self under the tire of a car so I picked him up to go find a tree for him so he wouldnt get run over or toast in the sun but their was even a potted plant to put him in so I stuck him in I water bottle with a little water left in the bottom to help keep him kool until I can find a place to put him theres a park across the street so I think i'll put him there.
anyone know what kind he is. i nicknamed him Wilson the only thing I can think of is a young cuban tree from but I have no idea what else lives around here.

you'd be surprised at how those little guys can climb. 12 years or so ago I was working on the 68th floor of the empire state building and there was one on a window !!!!!!

Hmm, not to be difficult, but an eastern tree frog? The only species I know that goes by that name is Hyla japonica, the eastern (aka far eastern, aka japanese) tree frog. This species in unknown to occur in the U.S. as far as I've heard. I personally agree with Jade's ID of a cuban tree frog ( Osteopilus septentrionalis). However, that too is a but odd, that is, if PA stands for Pennsylvania. Cuban tree frogs are only known to have U.S. populations in Florida. Still, it looks exactly like one. They can be pale, like the one seen there, or much darker. Here's my adult male cuban for comparison. Notice that he's in his darker phase right now though.
Here he's in a slightly lighter phase:

That's what I was refering to Matt,,,,possibly a regional name ?? that's what we called them as kids. Don't know the scientific name. Maybe I should have made that a little clearer on my initial post. My appologies
