Looks like he is a little underweight. The snout should be ok, if you can keep him from rubbing it more. If he continues to rub it, it's gonna get worse and possibly start to bleed. If you want you can put some triple antibiotic on it (neosporin) just make sure that it doesn't have pain reliever in it. Getting him in a larger/taller cage should help with any snout rubbing. They usually do that when they want to go higher but the top of their tank is in the way...

My Philip had shout/lip damage just like that. Give it time and it will heal.
This usually means what he was/is in, is too small and he needs more room.
And he is a tiny bit thin like Shell said. Give him a few more crickets a feeding, until he has a nice round belly.

Looks like a male to me... Once you fatten him up a bit it will be easier to tell. Also sure fire way to know is if he starts to ribbitt. You know its a male then...

You want to save pinkies for a treat only. Keep to once a month, and if the frog starts to get fat, no pinkies at all. The way to tell if he is big enough, is if his eyes are the same distance as the pinkie is wide. I couldn't tell until you held up a pinkie right to him.

On the gender I went on youtube and look up Whites Tree Frog croaking and all it did was get comfortable on my keyboard.
