If its a juvenile, it might not be old enough to croak. Also, if you have only had it for a little while, it still might be too uncomfortable. You really shouldn't have it out yet. It needs time to settle into its new home.
Also, contact with your frog should be kept to a minimum. They absorb everything through their skin. Soaps, dirt, shampoo, anything on you really. Too much handling can make them sick. Frogs are a middle ground between fish (that you can't handle at all) and Lizards (which don't absorb things through their skin and can be let out to wander.)
