I'd mix some cocoa fiber into the organic soil. I had problems with it not draining well. Just a thought

Yes, I always do a 50/50 mix on the coco-husk and soil.

Re: Flooring for WTF

Sweet What do you use for a drainage layer? I usually use smaller gravel or aquarium gravel.

Re: Flooring for WTF

I have a gravel layer. Should have went with the clay balls though, my tank weighs a TON. Drain hole in the bottom too.

Re: Flooring for WTF

This is pretty interesting. Both soils(the Sphagnum and the Organic) have fertilizer in them. The organic has more then the Sphagnum.

Organic Potting mix. Fertilizer Analysis 0.10 - 0.05 - 0.05

Sphagnum Peat Moss. Fertilizer Analysis 0.05 - 0.02 - 0.04

Re: Flooring for WTF

yeah, but is it a chemical based fertilizer or a natural one? There are lots of natural fertilizers out there, from worm and cow poop, to chicken poop and compost.

Ya Organic means.....a substance, as a fertilizer or pesticide, of animal or vegetable origin.
