Re: Flooring for WTF
Eco-earth is your best bet (its coconut husk that's been shredded). It comes in a brick that expands.

Re: Flooring for WTF
I agree with Liz...cocoa fiber bedding works the best (holds humidity). You'll want to have a drainage layer of gravel under the bedding so it doesn't stay too wet and cause mold.

Re: Flooring for WTF
Agree with both of you guys. If your using live plants you can use mircale gro. I use the sphagnum moss type.

No no bad idea. You don't want to use anything that has fertilizer in it. You can use organic soil.

Re: Flooring for WTF
Yup, that needs to go. It has chemicals in it. You need organic. Might be why your frogs are brown. Quoted right off the FAQ from that link:
Is the Miracle-Gro Sphagnum Peat Moss organic?
This product is not a natural or organic product. It contains man-made plant foods or fertilizers.

Re: Flooring for WTF
I had a friend that changed her substract to the organic Miracle-gro organic soil and all 4 of her frogs died within 2 weeks. I wouldn't risk using anything by a fertilizer company.
If you want organic soil you can get it for really cheap at Walmart garden department(outside) or almost any hardwear store.

Re: Flooring for WTF
That's interesting. I have been using the organic soil from miracle grow without any problems at all.
But now I have found an organic dirt person at the farmers market. 1/3 the price and probably 10 times as good!
