Clown Tree Frog

Do any of you keep these guys or know of a good place that has a care sheet for them? I know their care is similar to RETF but I want something on them. I'm having a really hard time finding info on them.

Re: Clown Tree Frog

I know Reptiles magazine did an article on them a while back. If I remember tonite I'll look for it when I get home. Fantastic looking species. I considered getting some myself after reading the article. Send me a pm if I forget to get back to you.

Re: Clown Tree Frog

Here's some excerpts from the Reptiles magazine article.
I don't know much about Tree Frogs but here's some info from that article.
-Taller vivarium minimum 30 inches of ht from substrate
-controlled ventilation to allow the slow turnover of air to maintain a higher humidity
-live plants with leaves strong enough to hold frogs weight
-full spectrum fluorescent bulb
--12 hr light schedule
-cork bark for climbing
-nightime drop in temp not to droo below 70 deg
-daytime to not exceed mid 80's
-mist enclosure once a day
-daily clean fresh water
Any specific questions on frog care and Liz would be able to help you out.

Re: Clown Tree Frog

yup Mike, that's exactly how my RETFs are kept.

I don't know what other information you would need. They come from the same area and have the same basic care. They will need smaller prey because they are smaller. That's about it.

Are you keeping both species in the same tank?

Re: Clown Tree Frog

Of course not what a silly question to ask =] although I have read that you can keep them together, I won't. I may add them when I make my big vivarium, 150+ But that's not till way down the road

Re: Clown Tree Frog

I would love to see some pics of your Tiger Leg. That's another species that's very captivating.
