How do you determine the Gender of a Whites tree Frog?
I need to know so I can pick some males out 2morrow. (March 8)

Easiest way would be to play a sound bite through a speaker, the males will respond, im not sure if theres other ways to sex them, visualy, so on.

np, i think theres another thread nearby with a few good sound clips. Something about getting a frog to sing, You could try sending them to your phone, or bring a mp3 player, ipod, whathaveyou to the store with portable speakers.

i picked out trevor from the store by recording a sound clip onto my cell phone and playing it a few times in a row with it on speaker phone. They all answered after a minute or two.

Adult females are also larger than adult males. As with many frogs, there is often a difference in the texture of an adult male's throat than an adult female's, because it expands much more when they croak.

Also, just because a frog DOESN'T call when you play a sound, that doesn't mean it's a female. It could be a male that simply didn't respond. But if it does respond, then it's a male.
