How Can I Get My Wtf's to Sing?
How Can I Get My Whites Tree Frog's to Sing? I know one is a male because after he ate he started croaking away. I've tried to imitate sounds and played sounds of other Whites Tree Frog's croaking, but it hasn't worked. Maybe he needs to be in the mood for it?

usually if you play the sound of the others it will work, maybe not always. Try it just after the lights go out in the tank. Mine also used to go off at weird sounds like the spray bottle noise as the trigger gets pulled....

mine go off to the coffee grinder in the morning, before the lights come on.
Alas I feel your woes. I have 14 amphibians and only 2 ever make noise and I hardly ever hear them.

Re: How Can I Get My Wtf's to Sing?
Some frogs just don't make noise that much. Playing back a recording will sometimes work, but keep in mind there can be a difference between "croaking" and "singing". There's the loud, repetitive call that's used to attract mates or announce their location, which would be "singing" or
"calling". But other croaking sounds or distress calls can be made by many frogs in response to discomfort or a variety of stimuli.
Having a natural habitat and playing the sound at night can help. They may be more likely to call after a "rain", so you could try misting the enclosure as well. Being nocturnal means they're also more likely to respond at night or early morning.
Try playing back these sound recordings and see if it's the same sound your frog makes. These are White's tree frogs:

Re: How Can I Get My Wtf's to Sing?
oh, he MIGHT not do it if he doesn't feel comfortable, ie climbing on your keyboard. He might be more willing to croak when he feels secure.
Although go to youtube and check out the whites tree frog named Elvis. He's super neat.
