Quarentine Question
for my b-day I traded a large bird cage to a rescue . in return I received a 37 gallon tank, stand, light, and everything in the tank, which included 2 monster whites tree frogs. should I take everything out and scrub it? if so what should I scrub it with a diluted bleach solution? what about the wood? plastic plants? should I change the substrate?

Re: Quarentine Question
well,, wht does the setup look like now? Does it look like it needs to be cleaned, is it grosse? Is this a reputable rescue? You should always quarantine anything you bring in the house, no matter where you got it from.

Re: Quarentine Question
if the conditions of the tank are good, then keep it the way it is. If you feel like it could use a good disinfecting, take them out. Scrub the tank and fake plants with a 1 - 10 bleach water solution and rinse well. Bake the pieces of wood in the oven for 30 mins at 400 degrees to kill off anything. Once cool, put it all back together with fresh dirt.
Once they have been in the house for 30 - 60 days without any problems, you can put them with your other whites.

Re: Quarentine Question
As stated before, if the tanks is clean a cleaning might not be needed. However if you have other herps in the house I would keep the new additions in a seperate room for a few weeks to make sure there is no cross-contamination of any illness or parasite.

Re: Quarentine Question
can they be housed together? could the little one be able to fit inside the larger's mouth? thats the only question you have to ask. If the answer is yes, then your little guy needs to grow a bit more.
