Can Tree Frogs Have Strokes?

I have a green tree frog that is acting strange. He's active, alert, eating, everything like normal. I noticed he is keeping his head cocked to one side and seems unable to really use his right legs all that well. I've had him for a few months and I never noticed it at first. But now, every time I feed, he acts this way. Is it something I should worry about or is it normal as he's eating. This behavior occurs mainly only during feeding.

I don't know for sure, but I would have to think it is possible. I would get him to a reptile vet and get him checked out.

Re: Can Tree Frogs Have Strokes?

i would guess so. Did you have any fire belly toads in that group tank before you separated everyone?

Re: Can Tree Frogs Have Strokes?

No fire-bellied toad ever shared anything with my tree frogs, including decorations or dishes. Like I mentioned, it seems that it only happens when he feeds. Today, about 24 hours after feeding, he is walking around completely normal. Head is in perfect alignment and he looks at me like I'm crazy!! I think he gets excited over seeing crickets that he freaks out and is like a kid in a candy store!! I guess crickets are like potato chips, can't have just one!! I want to thank everyone who has helped me with all my crazy questions, concerns, and just plain ramblings. I have learned A LOT from everyone!! THANK YOU ALL!!

Re: Can Tree Frogs Have Strokes?

not a problem. If he is eating well and pooping and normal at all other times, I wouldn't worry about it.
