humidity question
The vivarium is either going to house green tree frogs or dumpy tree frogs. I believe I have my temps right where they need to be. I average around 75 degrees during the day with my highest temp recorded at 77 so far.
now my question is what should the humidity be? The care sheet says above 50% but thats a pretty wide range. What should I really be aiming for? I'm around 60% right now.

The best thing to do with all herps is have varying levels of humidity throughout. Just like you do with temp levels. That way the inhabitants can choose which humidity level they require.

well, i know the tank is hotter on one side than it is on the other. Maybe I should move the reader to the other side of the tank and see where the humidity is on that side.

Or what might be easier is to get another set of gages. That way you will know temp and humidity on both ends.

OK, I think I'm probably pretty good. On the one side of the tank, there is a 100 watt bulb and plexiglass over that half of the top of the tank. The other side has 50 watt night bulb and no plexi, so I have a humid and warm side, and a less humid and cooler side.
Thanks

I'll get the critters when I get back from vacation in June. I don't have anyone reliable yet for feeding cricks!
