Thanks! I was reading about all these people making custom containters or buying expensive pots at a garden store and what not. Well, I'm lazy, poor and creative. There is even a drainage hole in the bottom.

Wow, that's awesome! I definitely need to do something like that in the future. Did you use the brown silicone to attach the vines?

The vines are set into the great stuff. Its holding them in like cement.

So did you add more Great Stuff when the vines arrived? And where did you find that stuff? I may have to look for it sometime, it sounds pretty interesting.

You can get Great Stuff at any hardware store, Matt. It's very cool stuff. Once you start using a can, though, you may as well use the whole thing. I haven't been able to prevent the stuff from hardening in the spray tube/nozzle and blocking the rest of it from getting out of the can. Also, protect it from extreme temps. I had a can in my garage that must have gotten tired of the temp swings over the years -- when the can cracked, it made quite an exciting mness all over the shelf and the wall and all the other cans on the shelf...

I carved out a nitch with a matt knife where I wanted the vines to sit, sprayed new Great Stuff and set the vine into it, then sprayed a little more Great Stuff to be sure it was going to be well set in there. Once the Great Stuff is hard, its just like carving up styrofoam. Very easy to do. Just be sure you have a sharp blade.
