Hurt Whites Tree Frog

I currently have a co-op position at the local pet store and we recieved a shipment of whites tree frogs and one of them has what looks to be a sore or cut on the back left leg. We are not sure what to do about it and if there is a specific type of remedy or ointment we can use to prevent infection? Should it be kept in any special environment away from the other frogs there are 3 others they are in a 10 gallon (they are only small now). The frog is eating well but has not been climbing. Any feedback would be much apreciated.

I'm all for isolation, be careful when medicating amphibians, its alot tricker than snakes and lizards. I would try to talk them into taking him to a vet for a once over.

I agree with Lacey - amphibians are much more difficult to successfully treat medically than snakes and lizards; often, once an infection is seen it is too late for them

We had a whites with a sore leg; we treated him with tamodine - a specially marketed watered-down version of iodine, used to treat human cuts and sores. It didn't seem to reduce his life quality; he was still able to climb, ate well and lived happily with our female whites for some time. He recently passed away, but I believe that more to be due to age, however, in this instance, particularly because it was a new shipment, it will be safer for you to keep him in quarantine until you can determine what the problem is.
