Our new juvies -- rescues

Mom and I arrived home from a two-day trip to find new additions to our herp family! My dad had found out about two sulcatas that needed a new home... so he took them in!

So without further ado, I'd like to introduce Alex and Chloe...

Alex (foreground) and Chloe (background)

Alex on the move (he was VERY busy exploring his new home)

They are about 5 to 6 years old and both are pretty severely pyramided; they lacked the proper diet and UVB exposure at their last home. I'm not sure if they're small for their age (they're both around 17 inches). No weight yet. Mom will be taking them to UC Davis for their first check-ups when she takes Stanley next week.

Stanley was asserting his dominance. My niece reported that he had forced Alex onto his back, but they helped Alex back over. When we arrived home, Stanley was attempting to mount Chloe. It's a good thing he was unsuccessful because he's probably four times a big as her. Needless to say, the yard will be partitioned to insure the safety of the little ones.

Haha that must have been traumatic for Chloe, but i'd take it as a sign that Stanley is feeling better!
They look great! I wish I had the room for something as big as a sulcutta!

Well, Mom and Popie separated out a section of the yard for the young'ns...

Stanley now has taken to hovering around the fence.
