box turtle

Hi,

I have a box turtle in a 20g long. Some pll tell me that I need a bigger tank. I take him out for walks when I walk my dog in the park.

Is the 20g fine for him or should I get him something bigger?

thanks

I'm sitting here looking at a 20g long tank and thinking about the last box turtle I had in my yard. If it's full grown I think it's too small for comfort. But it seems like you take good care of him so as long as he seems happy.........

How big is your box turtle? At 7 or more years of age it should be a fairly good size. Mine are 7 or more inches long (can't remember exact size right now but they are pretty large). 20 gallons seems fairly small for a good sized box turtle. I know you said your turtle gets out for some excercise now and then but I think it might be happier in a slightly larger home.
