Hello again, What a wonderful feeling to come back and see all the hellos!! First group I've ever signing up with. I am in Belchertown, near UMass Amherst.
First question, the red foot I bought, has pyramiding, the old owners swears it was not from protein, and doing some research found it can be from just too darn much food alone. My concern is how much does this harm them longterm? I realize the shell is like that forever, but what about insides? Now am I supposed to put this in a new thread?
Thanks Nadine

Nadine, are you able to post a picture of your Red foot? It would be easier for us to tell how serious the pyramiding might be if we can actually see the tort.

Hello,
When you respond to this thread, or any thread, click the "post reply" button located at the bottom of the last post on the left hand side.
Use that new page to type your post. Before you post your message, scroll down a little further. There is a button called "manage attachments". Click that. That is where you upload any images you want to upload in the post.

Nadine,
I find it easier to use a host photo site. I use photobucket.com and just cut and paste a link in my reply to that photo, then you won't need to re-size. Good luck

I heard recently that pyramiding may also be caused by too low humidity.
