From an artistic viewpoint... (I graduated with a degree in fine arts)
The face and foot further away have great detail, undershell in the frong gets a bit mottled and I can't really figure out what it is. Its so strong it overpowers the head.

I really like the "action shot." It's particularly nice for an animal like a tortoise, which most people think of as inactive.
