Omg, what a voracious eater!
we were feeding him hibiscus. They had 4 plants on their patio, all just out of reach of his head. My daughter was plucking them and putting them in the grass. He was very happy to have them. He came by every day to eat the little clovers or whatever they were, spread all over the lawn.

Oh, we left Tuesday. She was very sad and misses the turtle, BUT she was very happy to be home. She wasn't to thrilled with staying at a very windy beach. She's afraid of the wind.
She wants a turtle so bad. Heck, I love turtles. I'm working on a male RES from the local rescue.

Haven't a clue. There were a bunch of them. One was the size of a basketball cut in half. I never saw him, but my inlaws did earlier in the month. Then we found this TEENY TINY turtle. Cute yellow shell, just munching away.
*edit*
from the 5 mins of googling, they were all gopher tortoises!
