Hmmm...tokays are freaks....that's for sure, I had a male and a female, they were very loud but very secretive. I really would have liked to be able to view them more. plus cleaning the cage was a real stress on all parties involved. I sold them and bought an iguana!

Noisy?,mine arent noisy and are awesome to watch. I love to look at them more then any of my other herps. Tokays Rule

Mine kept me up at night screaming like cats in heat...i lost alot of sleep over it.

I have never seen that,mine would bark or make noises when angry if you get to close or try to catch them. The males are suppost to make a call that sounds like their name and thats were they get their name from but thats really only during breeding season from what Ive read.

I liked them, but having to have my reptiles confined to my room made them a bad choice. I'll probably get them again someday....when I can house my reptiles outside of my room. They were little screamers...it seemed to be at its worst when the Bearded Dragon slept near the glass wall of his cage and they could see him. but if I covered his cage up they'd still do it, so who knows, they probably were just out to drive me insane!
