Ok at my local pet store, they have a wild caught tokay there. The owner told me that most tokays that you find in pet stores are wild caught. Is this true?

I am also looking for a breeder that raises tokay.

Generally speaking a lot of standard morph tokays are wild caught. That is why it is so important to get them checked over and dewormed by a vet when you get them.

I'd say most of the normal reptiles you find in pet stores are wild caught. They are simply cheaper, and can give the retailer a larger profit margin. They only ones you can be reasonably certain are bred are specialty morphs.

As Lacey said, it's why an immediate check-up with a certified vet is important.
