Hello. I have owned leopard geckos, but never any tokays, and would really like to get a couple. One question I have, is it ok to house two together? I ask because whenever I have seen them in pics and what not it is always just one. Is it the same as leopard geckos, one male per female/s? Any other advice would be nice. I would like to get two as babies. Is that a bad idea?

ive bred tokays..you can house more then one...also from exp...use paper towel or a rubber maid shelf cover for the bottom as they get chunks of bedding in ther mouth cause of ther big head they arnt as cuddly as leo's..lol so cleaning there tank will be an adventure if your not exp..thats why I sugest paper towls and a cave that way when they go in the cave just scoop them out chage and clean encloser ...mist 2 to 3 times a day..alot of hiding places..they dont need UV..just a night time heat bulb will do fine =) speaking of tokays mine just had eggs 2 days ago..ill post pics when I get my camera from my bf

No, you do NOT want to house the 2 species together. It really isn't a good idea to house multiple species together unless you have LOTS of space. Like an entire room or more.
But with the Tokays specifically, they are an aggressive species and most likely would make short work of your Leo. I don't know to much about them and can't answer any specific questions you might have about them but there are others here that can. All I know is that they are mean little buggers and love to chomp down on unsuspecting fingers....

No I have no intention of mixing them! seprated cages. I was asking about two tokays together! thank you for the input

ok sorry, the way you were talking about how both species have the same requirements, I thought you wanted to put them together.
