My girlfriend and I were at PetSmart today to get a few things for my chinese water dragon and her french-flop bunny. She was eyeing a couple of fire-bellied toads and fell in love with them right away. We did get a green tree frog the day after I purchased my Chinese Water Dragon and made the mistake of putting it in with the Chinese Water Dragon. The frog was attacked and killed by my territorial WD, which was a shameful lesson learned. Anyway, I felt bad and I know my gf has been wanting a frog/toad since so we're thinking on settling on the 2 fire-bellied toads. We will definately get them their own vivarium.

So...are these a good choice to invest in? I did a little research and found they eat crickets and mealworms just like my WD does, so the food is taken care of. I was reading about their hibernation and breeding patterns and that sort've worried me a little because I have no experience whatsoever with that stuff. Are they fairly manageable? Should I settle on another type of toad or frog? Keep in mind that I want the same type of conditions as my Chinese Water Dragon (even though they'll have seperate vivs).
