Exactly how are you housing them, tank size, temperatures etc.

they are in a tank in front of a window, so they get sun light, i read in books and on the net that they dont need uv lights or anything. my house stays at 77 so i know its a little warmer in the tank cause they get the sun during the day.

you can also buy more than a dozen at a time and keep them and feed as needed.

Adult toads won't normally eat every night. I fed mine every 2-3 days.

i dont have any where to keep crickets. and everyone i have talked to and everything i have read say they needed to eat everyday. so they get feed 6 worms each. 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening. they still are not eating and this makes 3 days in a row.

    everyone who?

Babies need to eat every day, and once a day is just fine. Adults do not.

Please tell us how they are being kept. And a photo of the enclosure would be good too.

Are you saying that you have no thermometer? Then you have no idea how warm it is in the tank. Having a glass container where sunlight falls on it is a good way to quickly overheat a tank.
Your toads may be heat stressed.

I agree, you are probably cooking your toads and that's why they aren't eating. They really shouldn't get much warmer than 80 and I can promise you in the sun, they are warmer than that.

Re: My Fire Belly Toads Are Not Eating.

well the sun does not touch them where i have them they get the light by the time the sun is at that window its behind the trees. the pic i have as my profile is them in the tank. it is not glass i got it from pet smart and is plastic. it is made for frogs and lizards. i have talked to the people at pet smart and have done my reading on line and i am not doing anything wrong to my frogs. this is my first time having frogs my husband has had snakes and spiders before but no frogs so he was not sure about things when it comes to them. i did not make the post for people to be mean to me. i was just asking before i went back to the pest store and asked them. the tank is fill half of water and the other half has rock. they have a hid out in the water and on the dry part. Herp Habitat you can go to this site and it will show you what the tank looks like. it is a herp habitat. i also have a marina i25 internal filter in it that helps keep the water clean and i also clean the take about once a week. and change the filter when it needs to be change. oh i got them some crickets today about a dozen and they ate them all but two. so i think it was because they were getting sick of eating the worms.

Why is it you think anyone is being mean to you? You are having an issue with your frogs so therefore there is something wrong!
You asked a question and we are trying to sort out what may be the problem. You are the one that said that the sun hit the tank.
I know its a little warmer in the tank cause they get the sun during the day.
It doesn't matter if its plastic or glass. Sunlight hitting a tank will make it overheat.
And if you don't have a good thermometer, you can't know how warm it is in the tank. You can't guess at this. Herps are very sensitive to heat and a few degrees one way or another can make a big difference.
