What Just Came Off My Fire Belly Toad?

I have two fire belly toads, I got them a few weeks ago. They seem to be adjusting well. I just wet to go feed them and one looked like it was burping or something. It kept taking its hand and rubbing its mouth. when I got a good look I seen this slimy looking stuff coming off of it. It looking kinda like jelly with little tiny black dots but the slimy looking stuff is not in balls or anything its kinda stringy. I don't know what sex my toads are, i know one likes to eat a lot and is kinda on the fat side and the other is a little skinnier. last night one was on top of the other and one was making noise not sure which one was making the noise. I'm new to having reptiles so I don't know much so if someone can help me out. That would be great. I just need to know if they are eggs and if so what do i need to do, if anything. thanks so much..

The one barking is a male, if it seemed like an echo of the sound, both were barking together.

It is possible for one to be in shed and they do eat their skin as it sheds off. I have never noticed it, but mine are more active during the night so I couldn't really say what it would look like. I can't be of much help without knowing exactly what it looked like, but I hope this helped some.

It's not eggs, its shed skin. Sometimes they eat it, sometimes they don't. You would know if they were eggs, for your toads would have been in amplexis for a good week before hand.

thanks but from what i have been looking up here on the net it looks like eggs and not skin. my husband has never had frogs but he has had snakes and lizards and he said it does not look like skin. i have placed it in a glass with some water (a site said to do that) if i leave it in the tank with the frogs it will go though the filter and i don't want it to get hurt if it is eggs. i tried to take a picture to post but they didn't come out to clear, but i want to thank you for your input.

If they are eggs, you would KNOW they were eggs and there would be no question. The face cleaning and the yawn like movement is a dead giveaway.

yep, that's from when I had firebelly tads. UGH they were a pain in the butt. I thought i scooped them all out of the water and froze them, nope. Found a few hiding, so i had about 40 eggs turn to tads.

The black spots are indeed from the black bumps on their backs. It's shed. I'm 100% sure.

thank you, they way the frogs were holding each other in your pic, my frogs were doing that a few nights ago. from what i have been reading they lay eggs in the water so i was thinking maybe she swam into them and was trying to wipe them off. not sure but i am watching to see what happens. thanks for you time and letting me know what you think.
