I also have 2 fire-bellied toad's. Can we see a full pic on your enclosure Fuse. no they arent territorial at all in fact they live in groups in the wild. Mine isnt that elaborate either. How deep is your water it doesnt look very deep, they like it bout 2 to 3 inches deep. i frequently see mine diving and swimming along.

Are you sure they are a male and a female it is very hard to tell them apart unless one makes an ooping sound thats a male. I have 2 males. Applexing? u mean showing thier bellies? they can get about 2 inches I think but not totally sure.

Amlpexus is how most anurans mate. The unken reflex is when OFBTs show their bellies
However, just cause they're amplexing doesn't mean they're a male and a female. Horny males will sometimes grab other males too, but the other male will usually "oop" a protest. OFBTs aren't territorial. Quite the opposite. They're best kept in small groups of up to 6 individuals. I think the same is true for EFBTs and YBTs too.

Yeah I to like the setup. Im setting up the task of renovating my toad tank today manly for the water change thats due but also to deepen the water a bit too so I can put the filter back in like it should be.
