How many do you think will fit into a 45 gallon show tank?
And if I use a canister filter to keep the water clean is that ok?

You could keep a lotta toads in a 45 gal. I don't remember for sure, but I think 6 will fit in a 20 gal comfortably. You're probably ok with at least 12 toads.

How loud can these guys be at night? The tank will in in the room next to our bedroom and the door is always open. I don't want to be woke up by a tank full of toads croaking! lol

they can get pretty loud if you have a few males, i actually like the sound. I have had up to 4 males (when I had 4 toads) going at once and thats an ear full.
