Question About Fire-bellied Toads

Does a fire-bellied toad enclosure HAVE to be semi-aquatic? I have mine in a 10-gal tank with gravel and a good sized water dish that it can submerge in. Is this ok?

Re: Question About Fire-bellied Toads

I started out with a water dish to soak in but had to change the water daily. Finally broke down and converted a 29H into a 1/2 & 1/2 tank with a 10G submersible filter. A lot less trouble and stress on the frogs and actually very pleasing to the eye once I got everything decorated. Liz should be able to give better info.

Re: Question About Fire-bellied Toads

a good sized water dish is fine, as long as it gets changed every other day or so. They would prefer a semi-aquatic, but they are fine with a dish.
