New Toad! (hopefully)
Ok, so I was walking out of my house tonight and on my porch I saw an adorable little toad sitting there looking at me. I just had to have him, so I grabbed a plastic container and lid. I caught him and put some bugs, grass, & water for him. I put some air holes in his lid. I have a new toad! Now hopefully he can survive the night in that dinky thing I have him in.

Re: New Toad! (hopefully)
I'm going to be the first one to suggest to let him go. He was wild and probably liked it. Go to a garden center and get yourself a "toad abode." It looks like an upside down terra cotta pot with a hole in the bottom.

Re: New Toad! (hopefully)
I totally agree with Liz, it would be in the best interest of your new friend if you let him go.

Re: New Toad! (hopefully)
Actually, he survived the night and ate a couple of the bugs I put in there. He was hopping around and didn't seem to be miserable. He's only a baby, so I'm gonna keep him around for a while to see what happens.

Re: New Firebelly Toad!
Ok I decided to release the other toad I had and I bought a firebelly toad. He's in a 10-gal tank. I'll post pics as soon as he is settled in.

Good to hear you released the wild toad to go back to his home. Eagerly awaiting pics!

Re: New Toad! (hopefully)
With your firebelly, pick up a 2nd one. They are community critters and would do better with some company.
