I'm going to put him in my spare bathroom which I don't use unless I have something to add to my bug collection that I keep in there. It's also where I do most of the cage cleaning so that would defenitly make things easier on me as well as Fred.
As far as releasing goes, I'm going to give him another week and if he hasn't eaten by then I am going to release him. I'm like you when it comes to wild caught animals, usually I would just obsereve then leave, but this little guy stole my heart and I couldn't help but try and keep him, but when it comes down to it I am most certainly going to do what's best for him. Even if I have to let him go
One other thing when I checked his cage today his belly looked full and I didn't see any crickets, so maybe he has eaten some, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet again untill I take a closer look.

Those stupid crickets! They're still in there, all four of them. Well, as of right now Fred is going back outside because I sure don't want him to die under my care. It seems he'll be better off outside, but my fingers are still crossed.
