My husband's into fish, so he frequents the local aquarium shops. I'll go with him next time and see what they say. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Please help me with Toad Slime!

when you go, snatch up a rock and some slime and some water. Always easier to identify if you have the item in hand.

If you put her in a smaller space with the food, her aim should improve some... At least the food shouldn't be able to get away as easily if they are in a smaller space.

Re: Please help me with Toad Slime!

you could always pull the legs off the crickets

Have you tried other not so fast moving things to eat, like small meal worms?

Re: Please help me with Toad Slime!

I had always heard that meal worms were bad for them, and she wouldn't touch the wax worms I got her. But then again, I had never seen a wax worm and didn't know they weren't supposed to be black...I've got some wax worms and phoenix worms ordered and they're supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I'll try those.

I videoed Chubby stalking a cricket tonight. It was cool!

Re: Please help me with Toad Slime!

Do you by some chance have peices of wood in the water? If driftwood or wood in general is not completely cured out it will produce a slimy feeling substance such as you are describing.
