I have had my toad since he was a tadpole. He has eaten good on crickets forever. He is just a little tike, and now he has stopped eating. He is an american toad. Do you think he is going into hibernation???

It's not very likely unless it's getting too cold. I've never hibernated my toads and they eat all year (which gets expensive, maybe I SHOULD hibernate them, lol). How long has it been since he last ate? What's his habitat like?

i have him in 5 gal plastic critter keeper. with live grass from the backyard (chemical free) i have a little dish of distilled water I change it every other day, and I mist his cage one or two times a week with warm water ..... i keep him at room temp at 75 degrees, it has been about 5 days since he last ate....

need anymore info just ask!
