Yellow Bellied Sliders Mating ?

    ok so i have 2 yellow bellied slider turtles 1 male 1 female.the female is bigger than the male.i just got the male.the female i have had for 3 months and she is older than him.she keeps following him and gettting in front of him doing the mating dance.does that meen that they are gonna mate.


    ok and my other question is if they do mate what kind of habbitat would you suggest for her to give birth in.

    They could be wanting to mate or it could be a greeting. Generally the male initiates.

    For a egg laying spot you would want an area of land that is warmish (75-80) has mostly coconut fiber, or peat moss that is just barely moist. It should be deep enough that if the turtle wanted too they could completely bury themselves. Having it covered on most sides will help the turtle feel more secure about laying there.
