I have collected a nice piece of wood to serve as a basking area for my beardies. My question is how can I sterilize it. If I do it in the oven, what should I set the oven for, how long should it be in there, and what should I do to the wood before putting it in.... i.e. soak it in water for x hours or what not?

    Thanks much

That will tell you all about it. And don't wet the wood. It will not burn at the recommended temperatrues and if you wet it and put it in the oven it will stink to high heaven!

Well, the wood has been baking at 350 for about 25 mins. My house is starting to smell like a sauna. You know how you go into a sauna and you smell the wood baking giving off steam, tho I don't have the steam cuz the woods isn't wet, it does indeed smell like a sauna. Kinda trippy ;)
