Wood Finish

    what kind of wood finishes can i safely use on the outside of my iguana cage? will it effect him at all since its outside? i want to use a red wood finish on the enclosure im building.

    I may be totally wrong with this, but I believe a polyurethane stain for the outside will be just fine, and wont affect your animal. To be safe, I would do my coats of stain, and then seal over it with Minwax Polycrylic sealant. This is water based sealer and isn't going to harm your animal. I used three coats of polycrylic for the inside of my savannah monitor's enclosure. So a polyurethane or polycrylic stain with a polycrylic sealant is what I would recommend. Ive also looked up stains and sealants on the web and this is what I found. If anyone knows differently, please correct me :)
