Why is He Doing

Discussion in 'Help *General*' started by beardielover96, Oct 4, 2012.

  1. I have a 3-5 month old bearded dragon and he lifts up his arm and puts it back down looks like he is waving. What is he doing? Does his arm hurt or something?

Nope, that's normal for beardies, and especially females, all the way into adulthood. It's a sign of submission.

It's a form of communication, waving arms when young are saying " I mean you no harm, I'm a Bearded Dragon"
Adult females will also do this when a male wants to breed, kind of her way of saying that she is willing.

I used to arm wave back at my beardie when she was young, it was so cute.
