Who's Skull is This?

    A teacher at my sons' school dug this up and felt the need to pass it on to me LOL!! Anybody know whose brain it held?

    Yes I was trying to google it, it looks like it must be a herbivorous type of animal because of those flat teeth. Groundhog!

    It's some sort of rodent for sure. The rabbit skull that I have has a much more domed face, as with my muskrat, so the rodent in question had a much narrower face. My guess: squirrel.

    We are going with squirrel. No prairie dogs in MI. My 10 year old told me that the teacher showed it to him and thought the front of the skull was the back of the skull. "She was holding the skull backwards. I wanted to tell her but I didn't want her to think I was rude; you can see the hole for the spinal cord."
