I have a 61/2 month old KSB, I have also a Raytec temperature gun
My question is what would be better to keep the temp's in line with his comfort levels better a Repti Temp 500 Therm/Rem Sensor
    or a Repti temp Rheostat?

I have him in a 10 gallon at this time but I was wondering when he gets older if there would be a more suitable size.
    Thanks Guys, all suggestions welcomed.

Go with the thermostat. A thermostat will constantly adjust your temps to keep them the same.
A Rheostat is just a dimmer switch. Sort of like a high medium and low switch. With any change of the temperature in the room the temperature in the cage will fluctuate and you will have to fiddle with the rheo to get it back to where it needs to be.
