What U.T.H. Can I Use on an Acrylic Cage?

    i just bought a new cage....its acrylic(or plastic).

    what can i use for uth??

    and do i need a thermostat??

    (i am also using an above light source also, i just want both because at night when the temp drops.....)

    It should not get hot enough to melt it, if thats what you are asking. I would hook it up to a thermostat with probe.

    However there is a warning on the UTH that advise only to use them on glass, not plastic.

    Yes there is. I have used them on vision cages before, I just use a renco thermostat and then you are good

    You might have luck with the heat pads designed for human use. they ususally have 3 heat settings. Just be sure not to get the one with the auto shutoff. I have only been able to find them at CVS. Usually for less than $20. I use them on my plastic travel bins for all my herps.
