This Disappears When Logged In

Unshedded Skin Turns into Wound

    She is 6 yrs old, 7ft.

    These last 3-4 sheds, she has shed fully. But there has been 2 sections that didnt shed, and in the pic above, that is one of the areas. The other area is smaller and it just looks like the shedding skin is still hanging on and attached. Figured water would help it loosen, but obviously didnt do it enough. Both spots are on the ridge of her back

    Cause for it? and how to treat? Neosporin?


    Grr, cant post pics due to being new to site :( But the area in question, is about an inch long or so and 1/8th inch thick

    you can use neosporin but make sure it is the kind WITHOUT pain relievers in it. What are the temp and humidity levels?

    I my be wrong (hard to tell from the picture) but it looks like it might be the other way around. It may be a wound that is causing the shed difficulty.
    Try rubbing a bit of mineral oil into the area.
