Okay when I first set up my terrarium I was not a member here so I just followed the seemingly sensible advice that came with my uth. The paper instructed me to place the heater on the side of the tank, so I did.... I have since been advised that that information was absurd. My question now is...

    1. can I move the uth? if I peel it off the side will it re adhere to the bottom of the tank?
    2. if I am able to do this do I have to worry about my snake getting burned? I have a thermostat but it sort of has a mind of its own.
    3. is it really a big deal or am I been obsessive again?

    Thanks!

Well snakes need belly heat so you should move it.
Yes it will still stick once you peel it off the side of the cage.

Yeah thats fine. They burrow into the substrate so she will still get the heat.
