This Disappears When Logged In

Sphagnum Moss Growth

    I've changed my water dragons substrate to Sphagnum moss. How long before I might start seeing it grow? Does it need changing like the previous substrates

    I don't think the sphagnum moss sold in most stores is still living, just harvested pre-dried moss that holds moisture well.

    This one says "Live" on the packet from Pets at Home

    That may be a good sign that it's not the dead version. I have no idea about the live one though.

    Even the dried stuff may come back to life once dampened. I used to experiment with a method of plant propagation called air layering where you wrap a banch on a tree with damp sphagnum and then cover it in plastic to root.. It was not unusual to have the damp moss green up.
