So i just picked up this adult male grey corn tonight on craigslist for $20, and lo and behold I think he has pnemonia. He's making crackling sounds every time he breathes, anything i should do to help nurse him back to health? I'm keeping his enclosure clean with just newspaper and he has clean water, im keeping him next to the heater til i get him a heat mat tomorrow

More likely a respiratory infection, best bet would be a vet for antibiotics.

I'll take him to the vet, but it can't be til friday cuz that's when i get paid. i do have amoxicillin though, could i cut a 500mg pill into an eighth, shove it into a thawed mouses mouth and feed it him til then? Sorry if its a dumb question

Highly unlikely the vet would give amoxicillin to a reptile, but you could call and ask. In the meantime keep the snake warm and give it a perch, so it can hang its head lower than the body.
