Does anyone have any advice as to using this moss for my various toads? I have heard not to use stringy types of moss but this looks more like bushes. On the package it said can be used for miniature railroad setups. I saw it in a light green and a dark green color. Was thinking of mixing the two colors to get a more natural look. I'm kinda bored with the Eco-Earth brown. Any advice will be appreciated.

The stuff used for decorating model railroad landscapes is dyed using who knows what. It also has bee treated with preservatives so that it doesn't deteriorate and fall apart. It was never intended for use in an amphibian enclosure. I would not use it.

I'm going to 2nd what Merlin said.

If you are bored with plain eco-earth, add some fishtank plants. Also there are these SUPER CUTE fake mushrooms out right now. Most of the garden stores carry them, and I even saw some at Walgreens today.
