Hi this my first time to the forum and had a couple of questions on Reticulated Pythons being that I'm gonna be a first time owner but not snakes. I had a 14ft Burm that I gave away years ago. My first question is I had purchased a hatchling through a friend that breeds retics. I know when you bring them to a new habitat your not supposed to feed a retic right away but being that there different from Burms how long should I let the hatchling acclimate till I first feed it?

The general rule is to wait at least 7 days. I have waited as long as 2 weeks with snakes though.
