So my helper at work just got his son a 3-toed Box Turtle. Seen here:

He was wondering what kind of plants to put in the enclosure that would be safe for his box turtle.

    Thanks for any help!

Hostas will attract snails and slugs which are candy for boxies. Raspberries, strawberries, any kind of edible berry and grapes are also good choices as are day lilies. Btw they love papaya (4/1 Ca/P ratio which is great) but that grows on a tree. Lariope provides good cover and grows fast.

I have violas, geranium, and pansies in my box turtle habitat, she likes to nibble on the leaves and they are edible
