Neosporin is standard fare for treating wounds. On us as well.
Hi Merlin, I`ve been informed by several very experienced and knowledgeable Varanid keepers and breeders that Neosprin is petroleum based and therefore not suitable for reptiles (I believe their info came from their vets).
why if i might ask is petroleum base not good? there are other types of Neosporin that aren't petroleum base
Hi, if there are other types of Neosporin besides petroleum based it might be best to choose those, though I`ve never personally used this product I do believe the information I was given is reliable and I`ll put more details up in due course, I`ve contacted a couple of people for more details.
I will be interested to see what you find. Petroleum based ointments are quite common.
